Find the right therapist....

Finding the right therapist is about fit, not perfection. Credentials matter, but feeling understood, respected, and comfortable matters way more.

A good therapist should feel like someone you can be truly honest with, even when things are difficult to say. It’s okay to take your time, ask questions, and you need to trust your instincts. Therapy works best when you feel safe enough to show up as you are.

I know I’m not everyone’s cup of coffee — and that’s okay. My goal is to help us stay focused and intentional as we work toward what matters most to you. We’ll take time to understand the challenges you’re facing by exploring the connection between your brain, body, mind, and life, and then build on your strengths to develop practical solutions and therapeutic skills that work for you. If you’re ready to ask hard questions, do the work, share a few laughs, and take things one step at a time, I’m here.

What is therapy?

Therapy is a collabrative process where you have space to tlak openly, reflect, and work through challenges with the support of a trained professional.  It's not about being "fixed" or told what to do - its about gaining insight, learning practical skills, and building resilience in a way that fits your life.

People come to therapy for many reasons, including stress, anxiety, relationships, truama and substance use, or simply wanting clarity and support during change.  You don't need to be in crisis to benefit.  Therapy meets you where you are and moves at apace that feels right for you.

Sessions are confidential, respectful, and tailored to your goals.  Together, we make sense of what's happening and develop tools to help you move forward with greater confidence and balance.

  • Psychotherapists provide talk therapy focused on emotional, psychological, and relational concerns. Depending on their training and regulatory body, they may work with individuals, couples, or families using a range of therapeutic approaches.

  • Psychiatrists are medical doctors who specialize in mental health and can prescribe medication. Their work often focuses on diagnosis and medication management, sometimes alongside therapy.

  • Psychologists are trained in assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy, often using evidence-based approaches. They may conduct psychological testing and provide therapy but typically do not prescribe medication.

  • Social workers support mental health and wellbeing while also helping clients navigate social systems, resources, and life stressors. They often work in healthcare, community, or government settings and may provide counselling alongside advocacy and case

How does insurance coverage work?

After each session, you are issued a bill.  Once paid, you're then provided a receipt of service.  You then submit this receipt to your insurance company who then reimburses you.

Do you offer sliding scale?

Absolutely.  The scale is based on personal circumstances, and each request is managed case by case.
